He started his career as a dish washer and grew up to the ranks of an Executive Chef in just 12 years. He has worked with brands such as the Taj group of hotels, Marriott-Ritz Carlton, Los –Angeles based Berggruen Hotels, and Accor group of Hotels.

Jerson has been recognized with several culinary awards for his talent. He was awarded the YoungestMostTalentedSousChef in the Middle East for the Marriott Hotel in 2011 by the Emirates Culinary Guild,'The emerging Executive Chef of the Year' Award 2018 by the Food Bloggers andCritics Association of India ,The Best Executive chef of 2019 Award byFHRAI, Star Chef of India in OCT-2019 by IFCA. He was recognized by the Chief Minister of Goa for his culinary contributions to the state in Dec 2020. He was recently awarded the Best Executive Chef of India- 2021 by the Hotelier Indian awards at JW Marriott Delhi on December 16th, 2021 and later felicitated by the mayor of Mumbai on 27th December, 2021 for his culinary contributions to the city of Mumbai.
