Chef Pankaj belongs to Dhanbad. During his childhood, there was an inherent desire to create new and traditional dishes and present them to his family. This later on led to aspire to achieve professional excellence in the culinary field.

Chef Pankaj graduated from IHM, Kolkata in 2001 and has enhanced his art across leading chains like Taj SATS, IHG, Starwood, Hilton (UAE), The Lalit and Sahara starin India and abroad. He has got opportunity to work and interact with various renowned chefs, like Satish Arora, Jochen kern, Mathew Crop, Jan Seibold, Bruce Bulmer, Chef Vivek Huria, and many more. These experiences have broadened the knowledge required to perfect the art of culinary skills.

Among various appreciation received by him, chef Pankaj has also won Merit Award in Great India Culinary Challenge 2004.

His innovative creations reflect the freshness of modern cooking replete with vibrant colours and a distinct burst of flavours. He has natural ability to create enthusiastic, productive working environments with customer-oriented professionals. He has passion for food and flawless services,and also is highly involved in financial analysis, troubleshooting operations and recommending effective cost controls, utilizing the vast resources available in today's highly technological tools.

At present Chef Pankaj is associated with Taj SATS air catering unit as Executive Chef in Bangalore.

Having analyzed the importance of Indian food for the Indian traveller, the Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) invited Chefs from across Taj SATS units to conduct workshops at culinary institutions in Israel to familiarize chefs of the leading hotel chains with Indian food.

In recognition of talent and desire to showcase his culinary skills, he was nominated to be a part of Taj SATS delegation for the above Indian culinary workshop in Israel.
