A graduate from IHM Chennai in 1997, Chef Anees Khan went on to join the Leela Kempinski, Mumbai as a Kitchen executive trainee where he worked under expat Swiss, French and German pastry chefs.

He has worked at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Alberta (Canada), JW Marriott, Cairo (Egypt), Kempinski Dar-es-salaam (Tanzania), Six Senses (Oman) besides working with The Leela Mumbai & Goa and Hyatt Regency Mumbai.

These stints brought along immense exposure as he rubbed shoulders with chefs from more than 35 countries. He has served dignitaries & heads like President Clinton President Bush, Rowan Atkinson, Robin Williams, Hollywood & Bollywood stars and many international sportsmen.

Chef Anees has also undergone Advanced Gelato Training at Bolognia, Italy.

In 2010, he returned to Mumbai to pursue his dream of setting up his own company and thus Star Anise Fine Foods & Leisure Pvt. Ltdwas born bringing to it his 15 years of culinary experience working for several International five-star hotels across the world.

The large state of the art central kitchen is located at Kurla with close proximity to BKC and other corporate parks. The company has been supplying high end modern desserts, artisanal breads, gourmet sandwiches, lunch boxes, high-tea, plated French desserts and ready to eat snacks to Mumbai's top places like the US Embassy, Google India, Bank of America, Lodha group of builders, Café Aromas, Kapco group of companies, Haggen Dazs, Airports, Lakhani Caterers, B2B supplies and several other corporates to name a few.

Chef Anees Khan launched the very successful Star Anise Patisserie, a French Patisserie, Viennoiserie and Boulangerie at Colaba, Lokhandwala & various corporate f&b sites. The store serves a repertoire of French desserts, designer cakes, freshly baked artisanal breads, ready to eat savouries etc with its own unique twists.

Chef Anees has been covered by all the leading newspapers and magazines and is a much sought-after jury member for judging chef competitions and various other culinary events across Mumbai and Maharashtra. He has also been conferred the Chef Entrepreneur of the year award in the year 2018 by WICA (Western India Culinary Association) for his outstanding contribution to the hospitality industry. He is also the co-founder of "BAMBAI",a multi-cultural restaurant located at Juhu and Shahad serving Parsi, Sindhi, Bohri Muslim and Maharashtrian delicacies with unique presentation and taste.

The company has a staffing of 65 personnel under its payroll and is an ideal place for hotel management trainees wiling to learn the intricate of baking, pastry making& entrepreneurship.
