I am born in a business family, my father, Mr. NR Munjal, is an entrepreneur and runs a
pharmaceutical business (by the name of Ind Swift Laboratories Limited) which is listed at NSE and
BSE Limited. My elder brother is also involved in the pharma business alongwith my father. My
mother, Mrs. Nidhi Munjal, is a homemaker.
I am married to Sanchi Verma Munjal who is self-employed (Child-Birth Educator) and a lawyer by profession. We have two children, both of whom are studying at Vivek High School, Chandigarh.
I was born and brought up in Chandigarh, Punjab, have finished my schooling from Chandigarh itself. After finishing my High School, I pursued Bachelors in Commerce from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Post that, I did a Masters in Entrepreneurship course from Narsee Monjee, Mumbai. After that I pursued Masters in Business Administration from Singapore (Management Development Institute of Singapore, MDIS).
After finishing my masters, I worked in Singapore for about 2 years' as Business Development Manager at a pharmaceutical company. While at it, I also set up my first entrepreneurial venture there (by the name of Zeus Trading Enterprise Pte Ltd), a trade finance company which in its peak year (2016-17) clocked a revenue of US $ 18.7 Million. This business is run by my partner and driven by a team of professionals.After returning from Singapore, I had setup a hospitality business in Punjab (by the name of Shaurya Suites & Inn LLP) which owns a restaurant, banquet, 17 room keys and multiple F&B franchisees (including the popular brands like KFC, Burger King, Café Coffee Day, Baskin Robbins, among others). With the hospitality business operated in an auto-pilot mode and run by professionals, I started working on my next venture. I realized the gap in the non-alcoholic beverage category and worked
with my cousins to conceptualize some offerings in the beverage segment. In 2017-18, I set-up a beverage bottling plant in Punjab (Archian Foods) and launched the product under the brand name, Lahori (www.lahorizeera.com ). The company recently got funded by a Belgium based private equity firm, Verlinvest (Link 1) valuing the company at over $100-150 million in its Series A round.
With this innovative product category, I alongwith my co-founders was felicitated and recognized under multiple forums (Link 2, Link 3). Further got recognized by Indian Achievers Forum as "Best Young Entrepreneur". (Refer Annexure D).
I have a business bent of mind, focused on creating value and understand the importance of forward investing. As a CEO of Archian Foods, I have started "Lahori" brand from scratch and today, I manage a team of 300+ employees and have the attitude to take the organization to the next phase of growth.
